Our AI Manifesto
AI exists to compress low-value work so Bumbl’s people can spend more time on high-value work.
It’s how we shrink the 80% so we can live in the 20%: eliminating busywork, and then using that leverage to produce a better result.
Principles
- 01
AI is a tool.
It gets pointed at outcomes that matter to our clients and our team, or it doesn’t get used.
- 02
AI raises the floor of what we produce; our people raise the ceiling.
A tool that lets a sharp person do more sharp things is worth it.
- 03
The work is the measure.
Using AI is a trap if it doesn’t make our work better, faster, or more valuable.
- 04
We reinvest saved time into quality.
Understanding client problems deeply, challenging assumptions, and making something worth making.
- 05
Focused use is better use.
We don’t burn time, compute or attention frivolously.
- 06
AI can’t own the work.
A human is always accountable for what leaves Bumbl.
AI raises the floor, our people raise the ceiling.
How we use AI
To automate the known. If the task has a known shape and a right answer, a machine should be doing the first pass.
To get to the starting line faster. AI is excellent at producing something to disagree with.
To pressure-test our thinking. We use AI as a sparring partner to make our thinking sharper before it ever reaches a client.
To widen the search. More directions explored, more references gathered, more angles considered in the time we have.
To raise the quality bar on the small stuff. When good work gets easier to produce, there’s no excuse for sloppy work anywhere.
How we don’t use AI
As a substitute for understanding. If you couldn’t explain it or defend it yourself, it doesn’t leave the room.
As a way to produce more of what nobody needs. We use AI to raise value per piece of work.
To fake expertise we don’t have. We never ship AI’s confidence as if it were our own.
As theatre. We don’t use AI to look innovative and we don’t mistake activity for progress. If it’s not making the work better, it’s not in the work.
We expect these tools to change fast, and we expect to change with them. The specific tools will churn; the principles won’t.
Tell us your growth ambitions.
We'll come back with a diagnosis: what's broken, what's not, and whether we're the right partner for what's next.
